Founded in
1986,Hunan Chenxi Huazhong Mullite Co.,Ltd(its predecessor is
Huaneng Chenxi Mullite plant)is first plant to produce Natural
Mullite in China,the "Huoyuan" brand Natural Sintered
Mullite won the state science and technology second prize in
1991 and won the primal ministry of metallurgical industry
technical exchange gold prize in 1992.
It is located in Chenxi Hunan,which is
surrounded local high quality rich bauxite with low imprity and
Al2O3:SiO2 ratio very near to theory mullite
Al2O3:SiO2 ratio
demanded.
Till now,it owns three mines with about
800,000-1,000,000 mt bauxite deposit,four production
lines,annual productive capacity of the Natural Sintered Mullite
is 30,000mt and Natural Fused Mullite is 5,000mt.It can process
and supply products of all kind of size according to the
customer demand.
Huazhong mullites are produced by sintering
in a rotary kiln with heavy oil as fuel at temperatures
exceeding 1750¡æ
and fusion in electric arc melting
furnace.The fine control of firing and fusing schedules ensures
well-distributed and formation of very well developed crystals
of mullite.Huazhong mullite has high mullite content and low
thermal expansion and conductivity,good chemical resistace,high
hot strength and abrasion resistance.
Huazhong mullite is used to produce high
quality bricks,special shapes and monolithics with very good hot
strength,very good abrasion resistance,thermal stability,thermal
shock resistance.Its product has been exported to
Japan,Korea,southeastern Asia,Europe,etc.
